When the Connection is Lost: All it takes is Reconnecting

There are moments when life just doesn’t stop. When so many things hit at once that you can’t catch your breath. And then there are quieter moments routine, even mundane where you suddenly realize, “It’s been a while since I’ve truly felt the Holy Spirit.” But once you’ve tasted that presence… once you’ve been filled with that warm, overwhelming sense of love and gratitude to God that brings you to tears… you can’t go back. You won’t be able to live without it. That alignment spirit, mind, and heart touches everything. It centers your whole day.

That’s why starting the morning with the right prayer and worship song can literally shift your entire mindset in just 15 minutes. Without this daily realignment, we can easily slip into illusions, distractions, and stagnation. I’ve had moments where I felt complete nothingness. And in those moments, I start searching for God, maybe a few days had passed that I didn’t dream anything or I hadn’t prayed long enough because I was busy with my children, For me that sensation or minut thought of being distance from God makes me go searching for him again. Not for a feeling, but for God Himself. When He comes in, it’s better than any high. Better than any escape. Better than any counterfeit comfort the enemy can offer.

There is nothing more devastating than the feeling of being disconnected from God.

The enemy knows this.

That’s why the moment you start trying to walk with God, give Him glory, or testify to His goodness, chaos often follows. Confusion. Disruptions. Emotional attacks. Silent warfare. He will use anything circumstances, people, triggers to make it appear like God has left you or you’re completely alone.

But it’s a lie.

The truth is, the very fact that you’re fighting to stay connected is proof that He’s with you. The enemy doesn’t waste time on people who are already his. The attacks come when you’re headed in the right direction.

What separates us from the enemy—and from the spiritually disconnected or what some might call NPCs (non-playable characters) is connection. Our ability to remain tethered to the Source of life. Anything that isn’t connected to that divine source is either dying or already dead. Spiritually. Emotionally. Mentally.

People who can’t connect those who are deeply wounded, narcissistic, or psychologically fragmented often live hijacked lives. They’re shells. Vulnerable to demonic control. This reminds me of that MK-Ultra-style programming (the name escapes me), where trauma is used to split the mind and create alternate identities. Why? Because splitting a soul makes it easier to control.

Drugs. Alcohol. Porn. Overstimulation. Overthinking. Everything the enemy offers is designed to do one thing: sever the connection. Because once you’re disconnected, you’re vulnerable. And once you’re vulnerable, he can attack, confuse, and ultimately try to destroy you.

But here’s the key: you can always reconnect.

Even if your prayer is weak. Even if you’ve been numbed by life. Even if you’ve been through things that have made you question everything—crying out to God, even silently, restores that line. You don't need perfect words. Just willingness.

Stay connected. That’s the key to surviving. That’s the key to thriving.

Even in silence, He hears.
