Sexual Energy & Sacred Boundaries: Healing Your Temple Within
Sexual energy is one of the most powerful forces within us. It carries creative potential, vitality, and deep spiritual significance. Yet, in many cultures and personal experiences, this energy is misunderstood, misused, or disconnected from its sacred origins. Learning to honor and heal this energy is essential to restoring balance and nurturing the temple of your body and soul.
From a spiritual perspective, your body is a temple—a vessel designed to house your spirit and reflect God’s glory. When sexual energy is treated as sacred, it becomes a source of strength, healing, and divine connection rather than just physical pleasure or temptation. Setting sacred boundaries is key to protecting this energy. Boundaries guard not only your physical well-being but also your emotional and spiritual health. They help you avoid harm, shame, and confusion that can arise from unhealthy relationships or misuse of your sexual energy.
In the spiritual realm, sex is far more than a physical act; it is a covenant, a binding agreement between two souls. The Bible calls the sexual bed an altar, a sacred place where two become one not just physically but spiritually. “the marriage bed is undefiled” (Hebrews 13:4), implying the bed is a sacred place within marriage. Entering into this covenant creates powerful energetic and spiritual connections that can either uplift or harm the individuals involved.
This is why fornication, even in dreams can be dangerous. Marine spirits and other demonic entities are known to manipulate lust and induce unnatural desires such as homosexuality and sexual confusion as attachments meant to trap and control souls.
From about age 17 until my late twenties, I identified as bisexual. I had some experiences with girls in high school. It was a trend around me, though I never publicly displayed it or engaged in activism. As I moved deeper into spiritual warfare, especially before coming to France, I noticed some very distinct spiritual experiences connected to this part of my past. Despite being celibate for over a year, I had vivid dreams where marine spirits, often manifesting as mermaids, tried to physically stimulate me. In these dreams, I felt nothing and recognized the beings as demonic, with strange fully black eyes and pallid, almost bluish skin tones. I recognized it as desperate attempts by the enemy to trap me, and invoke thoughts in me to enter into sin and gain control over me.; trying to find everything possible from the old me to ruin the new me.
Lilith is a seductive demonic spirit rooted in ancient mythology and often operates as part of the marine kingdom, an organized realm of lustful, manipulative spirits sent to corrupt, entangle, and drain the spiritually gifted. In dreams, she may appear as a beautiful woman or familiar face to initiate sexual encounters, aiming to form soul ties, weaken spiritual covering, and plant shame or confusion. As a marine spirit, her influence is deeply emotional and sensual, using lust, fantasy, and seduction to infiltrate the dream realm. Though she senses spiritual power, when a person is covered in prayer and walking in purity, her attacks are blocked she may smell their presence but cannot access or see them directly.
Because of these experiences, I personally believe that many lustful heterosexual and homosexual practices, especially those involving unnatural desires, can be linked to marine spirits and other dark entities seeking license in people’s lives. Many people are lonely or searching for love outside of God’s plan, which can open doors to these spiritual influences.
I want to be clear: I do not condemn anyone, especially given the diversity I grew up with in New York City. But my conviction is that for some who genuinely feel same-sex attraction, there is some sort of spiritual attachment at play, unknown to them. This is part of the broader spiritual warfare that surrounds us, and it’s something I’ve come to understand through my own journey.
God created feminine and masculine energies to complement each other perfectly. While it’s true that we all carry both energies within us to some degree, His design for creating life involves the unique roles and qualities of both feminine and masculine working together. This complementary balance is intentional—a divine plan meant to bring harmony and fullness to creation. Just like in science, where positive charges attract negative charges, or in the concept of yin and yang where opposing forces balance and complete each other, this complementary relationship is part of divine order.
These forces seek to entangle individuals in spiritual bondage, draining their life force and corrupting their spiritual freedom. Another concept in entangling and draining life forces depend on whom you maintain relations with.
For example when you are with a soulless individual/NPC, you are vulnerable to having your energy leeched. These people do not have a true soul connection, so instead of an exchange of life-giving energy, you experience depletion. This is especially true when involved with narcissists or demonic entities masquerading as humans. They feed off your spiritual energy, leaving you drained, confused, and disconnected from your own power.
In contrast, when you connect with a person who has a soul and is spiritually aligned, there is a mutual exchange of energy that can be healing, strengthening, and life-affirming. This sacred exchange honors the covenant of the sexual bed and reflects God’s original design for intimacy.
Recognizing the spiritual significance of sexual relationships and maintaining sacred boundaries is essential for protecting your temple—your body, mind, and spirit—from harmful attachments and spiritual attacks. Prayer, discernment, and walking closely with God are your greatest weapons against these invisible threats.
Healing your temple begins with reclaiming your personal power and understanding the divine purpose of sexuality. It requires honest reflection about your past experiences, patterns, and beliefs around sex. Are there wounds or false messages that have distorted your view of your own worth and purity? Prayer, meditation, and spiritual counsel can support this healing journey by realigning your heart with God’s truth and grace.
Practically, healing sacred boundaries may mean saying no when something doesn’t honor your values or feels unsafe, and yes to self-care practices that nurture your body, mind, and spirit. It also means cultivating intimacy with God that fulfills the deep longing within you, a connection that no human relationship can fully satisfy.
Remember, your sexual energy is not something to be feared or repressed, but to be respected and honored. When you treat your temple with reverence, you open yourself to profound healing, wholeness, and spiritual empowerment. Don’t just give yourself to anyone.
